There is an increasing need in today’s business environment to be prepared. An organization that has a well designed and practiced crisis management system is more resilient and as a result, is likely to have a greater competitive advantage.
The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that over 40% of businesses will never reopen following a disaster and of the remaining companies, at least 25% will close within 2 years.
Is your company ready? A business interruption is a company’s worst nightmare. Whether it is because of a natural disaster or a man-made incident, an organization of any size cannot afford to lose customers or revenue due to an outage.
Clients are increasingly looking to Pioneer Consulting Group to assist them in the review, development and maintenance of their crisis management systems, to ensure that in the unlikely event in an incident the potential impact is minimized.

Training
A well developed and practiced crisis management system gives your organization a competitive edge, by protecting your employees, your key assets and your organization’s reputation. Crisis preparedness is a dynamic process that needs to be driven by the organization’s leadership.
An organization should ask itself the following:
- Do we have a plan & is it up to date?
- Who’s responsibility is it keeping the plans up to date?
- How often do we need to rehearse our crisis management team?
- Can the crisis management team do what it is trained to do?
- How do we incorporate changes and experiences into our plans?
Pioneer Consulting can assist your organization with the development and implementation of crisis management plans and train, mentor and exercise the crisis management team. To ensure complete organizational resilience, we can assist you with the maintenance of your system by conducting periodic audits and training.
Incident Response
When an incident occurs and personnel, assets and reputation are at stake you may need help. Pioneer Consulting will respond immediately to you and your organization with the appropriate level of support. Our Emergency Response Teams (ERT) can be on the ground within 24 hours to secure and protect personnel and property impacted by the incident. The ERT will then assist you with assessing the situation and then advise you on appropriate strategies to deal with an incident through to its successful resolution and post incident review.
At the core of Pioneer’s response is our dedicated emergency operations center (EOC), staffed 24/7 by trained security and medical professionals. As such we can provide immediate assistance to those facing an emergency situation.
Having access to Pioneer’s Global EOC provides your organization with integrated communications, actionable intelligence and security & crisis management specialists to help coordinate and manage a multitude of risks facing your personnel and organization.
Kidnap & Ransom Consulting
In many regions of the world, kidnapping is a growth business. Corporate executives, Humanitarian volunteers, Expatriate workers and their families have become high potential targets for criminals, guerrilla forces and dissidents. Incidents of kidnapping are on the rise, particularly with the knowledge that many of those traveling to risky areas will have some form of insurance to cover kidnap.
Insurance is an important element to dealing with a kidnap incident but it does little to proactively prevent it from happening. If a company knowingly send personnel in to a potentially dangerous situation then it is important that they provide appropriate training and create contingency plans in order to minimize the risks. Pioneer Consulting will work with you or your organization to address the threat from kidnapping and properly train those at risk.
Handling a major crisis such as kidnap or illegal detention requires prompt, professional and timely response. Pioneer’s Team has extensive experience of kidnap for Ransom (K&R) cases and maintains personnel on a minimum ‘notice to move’ who are ready to deploy anywhere in the world within 24 hours of being notified (often a lot sooner).
Our consultants act exclusively as advisers to our clients, assisting them in making critical and timely decisions. Pioneer can also provide additional support to the victim’s family and organization.
Pioneer does not act as an exclusive responder to an insurance company and as such can provide priority crisis response to our clients.
